Syringe Exchange

Schedule of community needle exchange sites, help for those who inject drugs.

Services

Multnomah County’s syringe exchange program provides:

  • Safe disposal of used syringes
  • Access to sterile syringes, new safer injection supplies, and new sharps containers
  • Overdose rescue kits including naloxone (a drug used to reverse opioid overdose) and fentanyl test strips
  • Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex)
  • Risk reduction education
  • Condoms, lube and dental dams
  • HIV, STI and hepatitis C testing (and treatment when needed)

We also offer referrals to:

  • Medical and mental health care
  • Housing navigation and shelter services
  • Alcohol and drug treatment, withdrawal management
  • Culturally-specific services

Syringe Exchange Schedule

Disposal at exchange sites is for syringe exchange clients. To protect client privacy, the public should not bring used syringes to exchange sites. Use these disposal options instead»

  • Monday and Thursday, 11am - 2pm and 3pm - 7pm
  • Buprenorphine clinic on Thursdays
